How to install and configure Amazon AWS EC2 cloud instance in Ubuntu?

If you just purchased Amazon AWS EC2 linux web servers and you are not sure how to install or configure PHP and MySQL, then this article will help you to solve your problem. You just need to follow the described steps below:

This article will help you to install PHP, MySQL, Apache and some other required library. However you can change the version at anytime by modifying the package as per your requirement. Installation process is explicitly for Ubuntu machine you can follow the same process for other machine but command will be changed.

Installing PHP :-
sudo apt-get install php5-mysql

Installing Apache2:-
sudo apt-get install apache2

Installing Mysql:-
sudo apt-get install mysql-server

It will ask you to put the root password for mysql twice, so please set root password and keep it safe for further use.
i.e. Setted root password- aXzf3A9$C@Ik91

Installing mysql-php client :-
sudo apt-get install mysql-server mysql-client

Installing php apache library:-
sudo apt-get install php5 libapache2-mod-php5

Restarted Apache server:-
sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart

Check mysql is running or not:-
sudo netstat -tap | grep mysql
